Download Avast Ultimate for PC: from the official Avast website after receiving the code

Once you have received the activation code by email from Mr Key Shop, download Avast Premium Security – the suite’s main app – directly from the official website at avast.com in the downloads section, or via the link included in the confirmation email. The installation file is the only one you need: once activation is complete, the other components of the suite – SecureLine VPN, Cleanup Premium and AntiTrack – can be accessed from within the main app and downloaded on demand. Before installation, uninstall any antivirus software previously installed on your PC to avoid conflicts between security solutions.

Install Avast Ultimate on your PC: step-by-step wizard and initial suite setup

Installation takes place via a step-by-step wizard that completes the process in just a few minutes. Once finished, Avast automatically runs an initial scan of your PC to detect any threats present. From the app’s main screen, you can access all the suite’s components: antivirus protection is active immediately, whilst VPN, Cleanup and AntiTrack can be accessed via the side menu. To activate SecureLine VPN as a separate app on your PC, download it from the dedicated section of your Avast account or directly from the main app under the ‘My subscriptions’ tab.

Activate Avast Ultimate on your PC: activation code in the app or in your Avast account

There are two ways to activate the service. Directly in the app: from the home screen, go to ☰ Menu → My Subscriptions → Activate paid features, enter the activation code including the hyphens, and confirm. Alternatively, log in to your account at my.avast.com, go to the Subscriptions section and enter the code to link it to your account; the features will be automatically activated on all associated devices. If you already have a previous version of Avast installed, there is no need to reinstall the software: simply enter the code in the My Subscriptions section to extend or upgrade your current licence.

• What does Avast Ultimate include, and how does it differ from Avast Premium Security?
  Avast Ultimate is Avast’s comprehensive suite, combining four products into a single subscription: Avast Premium Security, the core antivirus package with a firewall, anti-phishing, remote access protection and a sandbox; SecureLine VPN for encrypted and private browsing; Cleanup Premium for PC cleaning and optimisation; and AntiTrack to block online tracking of your browsing activity. Avast Premium Security on its own includes only antivirus protection and a firewall, without a VPN, cleaning tools or anti-tracking.
• Does Avast Ultimate also protect against ransomware and phishing?
  Yes. The Avast Premium Security component included in Ultimate uses an AI algorithm that detects in real time not only known malware but also files exhibiting suspicious behaviour, including ransomware and spyware. The anti-phishing module analyses visited websites and incoming emails to identify attempts to steal login credentials and bank details. The advanced firewall monitors all incoming and outgoing traffic, blocking suspicious connections and protecting against remote access attacks.
• Can I also install Avast Ultimate on a Mac, smartphone or tablet using the same licence?
  It depends on the number of devices covered by the licence you have purchased. Avast Ultimate multi-device licences are compatible with Windows, macOS, Android and iOS: the same subscription covers multiple devices of different types, up to the number specified in the licence. The 1-PC licence covers Windows only. If you also need to protect a Mac or smartphone, check the number of devices included in the licence you purchased from Mr Key Shop or consider a multi-device licence.
• When should you NOT choose Avast Ultimate?
  Avast Ultimate is Avast’s most comprehensive suite for personal and home use. For those who only need antivirus protection without a VPN or optimisation tools, Avast Premium Security is sufficient at a lower cost. For business environments with multiple workstations requiring centralised management, Avast Small Office Protection or the Avast Business solutions offer centralised management features not available in Ultimate. Avast Cleanup Premium is not available for iPhone and iPad; for iOS devices, the optimisation component is not included.
